The Nitrogen Climate Smart(NCS) Project is a government-funded, farmer-led research project which aims to reduce carbon emissions across the agricultural sector by increasing UK-grown pulses, replacing imported soya (used for animal feed).
We are participating in this project as Pulse Pioneers, hosting on-farm trials to gather data on the benefits of including pulses in an arable rotation, and trialling new products and practices to improve the pulse crop itself.
